Domaine de Ravanès

This exceptional estate, founded in 1970, has been committed for more than 4 generations to producing wines of excellence from clay and limestone soils, with some products produced using integrated farming methods and others using organic farming methods, all with the same exacting standards at every stage of the wine-making process, which finally paid off in 2004 when the cuvée Domaine de Ravanès Les Gravières du Taurou 1999 beat Petrus in a blind tasting with 35 journalist-tasters.

Domaine de Cassagnas

Domaine de Cassagnas was founded in 2019 by Ekaterina de Cazenove, a young winemaker with a passion for producing natural wines. Grapes are grown in the traditional way, with the added difficulty of using as little water as possible, just like the monks who cultivated this land nearly 8 centuries ago. This promising domaine is already offering its first vintages.

Aubert & Mathieu

This trading house was founded by Aubert and Mathieu, two friends with a passion for wine. Their motivation is to go ever greener, and everything they do is environmentally friendly, from the packaging to the vines to the wines. Carbon neutrality is also very important to the two partners.
All conditions are met to produce exceptional wines in collaboration with meticulously selected winegrowers in Languedoc-Roussillon. Driven by a desire to bring about a revival, they seek to create non-conformist wines, ultimately in their own image.

Gérard Bertrand House

In 1987, Gérard Bertrand took over his father’s estate to create what is today Maison Gérard Bertrand. Over the years, he bought 11 châteaux and estates in the Languedoc-Roussillon region, where he set out to produce exceptional wines in an environmentally-friendly way. He can be found in various AOCs such as Terrasses du Larzac and Minervois la Livinière, and his wines all have a touch of originality.

Domaine de Riveyrac

Domaine de Riveyrac bottles come from the Cave Coopérative de Salses-le-Château, a winery located beneath the fortifications of the castle built by the Spanish Catholic kings, guaranteeing perfect preservation. It is one of the oldest cooperative wineries in the region, and was founded in 1909, the year of the region’s great wine crisis, when a number of winegrowers decided to join forces and join forces. The estate specializes in great AOC Rivesaltes natural sweet red wines.

We hope this top 5 will help you find inspiration in this magnificent wine region!
