La Raclette

Côté Blanc

What could be better than raclette by the fire this winter? Melted cheese, assorted charcuterie, potatoes or pickles: find the perfect wine to match this moment of pleasure!

A good choice is a Pinot Blanc d’Alsace 2021 from Domaine Gustave Lorentz: the nose is reminiscent of pink grapefruit and white peach, with hints of white flowers. Well-balanced and very pleasant on the palate, with lovely freshness and lots of fruit.

A Jura white wine
Tradition du domaine de savagny
The nose reveals strong notes of orange blossom water, almond and fruit. Fruity and easy to drink on the palate, this wine is round and structured.

A Burgundy white with moderate acidity could also go well with a raclette: Pouilly-Fuissé 2015 “la Dynastie des Ferraud” from domaine P.Ferraud & fils.

Red side

You can also opt for a red wine, which would be the perfect accompaniment to the cold meats in your raclette!

Like a Beaujolais from domaine Jean-Claude Lapalu, the cuvée Beaujolais-Villages Vieilles Vignes 2022 has a nose of lightly woody red fruit aromas and a clean attack on the palate for a well-balanced, fruity wine. A long finish with silky tannins.

But if you prefer to stay in Savoie, the cuvée Gamay 2023 from domaine Ravier Sylvain et Philippe is sure to enchant you, a delicious, easy-drinking red wine. It reveals an expressive bouquet of ripe red fruits and sweet spices.

A light red Pinot Noir from Alsace, such as Charles Frey’s Pinot Noir Quintessence 2020, with notes of fresh red fruit and moderate acidity, will also appeal.

La Fondue

Fondue is one of France’s favorite winter dishes!

White wines are best suited to fondue.

A 2020 Alsace Pinot Blanc from Domaine Edmond Retz: fresh and fruity. This light, tender wine leaves plenty of room for the powerful cheese aromas we love so much!

Or Origin alsace Riesling 2017 from Domaine Gueth, which features fruity and floral notes mainly of orange zest, pear compote and white flowers. Fresh and iodized on the palate, with citrus notes. A beautiful, emblematic Riesling!

Or a burgundy aligoté 2020 from the Angst vineyard, a fresh, pleasant wine that goes great with fondue!

Tartiflette

One thing’s for sure, tartiflette isn’t the lightest of Savoy dishes, but what a treat! Made with potatoes, bacon, onions and, of course, a good Reblochon cheese!

Côté Blanc

A Bordeaux wine with a beautiful aromatic range that opens with finesse and delicacy: Cuvée
Carmes de Rieussec 2011
from Domaine Barons De Rothschild.

A modern, elegant white Châteauneuf-du-Pape with finesse: l
l’intimiste 2022 cuvée
from domaine Julien Masquin.

Or a Savoy wine like the cuvée
l’originelle 2020
from Maison Philippe Grisard 2020, which offers an elegant, gourmet tasting experience.

Côté Rouge

Reblochon also goes very well with red wine!

Our selection of reds for you: a red Savoie les milieres 2017 from Maison Philippe grisard, a sensory firework display with a roasted finish!

Or a 2017 Gevrey Chambertin from Maison Paul Reitz that was aged 18 months in French oak barrels, then blended in vats. This cuvée will be perfect with your Tartiflette!
