Twil selection
Reds lighten up
- Brouilly – Cuvée Jules du Souzy, Château De La Terrière Rated 92/100 by James Suckling, this is Beaujolais as we like it. A fruity, aromatic nose with a structured, yet accessible taste! Perfect for aperitifs with friends.
- Le Clos, Le Clos Du Vigneau This Bourgueil is a real olfactory and gustatory nugget. Beautiful ruby color, fruity, supple. Everything you’d expect from a Loire red. We recommend it with barbecued beef steak.
- Finca Martelo Reserva, Torre De Oña Spain for a light, unpretentious wine. Very elegant on the palate, with very pleasant acidity and fine tannins. What’s more, it has won accolades from critics including Robert Parker and Tim Atkin. All the more reason to try this wonderful Spanish wine!
Fresh, fruity whites
- Anjou “la Chapelle” Vieilles Vignes Chenin Sec, Château De Fesles Hachette star: “Beautifully intense, the nose opens with citrus notes (grapefruit, orange peel). The palate is fruity, supple and velvety, supported by fine acidity. A well-balanced wine with great potential.”
- The Piton de Sancerre This Sancerre de Loire is sure to surprise you. On the palate, the attack is frank, the wine has an almost perfect balance between freshness and roundness, and the finish is slightly smoky, calling for another sip. What’s more, it’s ready to drink!
- Poggio Cosmiano, Villa Cosmiana Poggio is a traditional white wine from the Tuscan countryside, now almost extinct. Made from 100% Trebbiano grapes, it should be drunk young, at 10 degrees, to give its freshness, vivacity and notes of citrus and melon on the palate. A wine for afternoons with friends, aperitifs on the terrace or extended stays around the pool.
The star of spring: chilled rosé
- Château Minuty, Prestige A great Minuty from the finest Côtes de Provence terroirs. A wine with a floral nose that is very well balanced on the palate and can be enjoyed beyond the aperitif!
- Château de Miraval, Miraval Dry and powerful, with freshness on the palate and notes of grapefruit and strawberry. This is the bottle to take out on a summer terrace for an aperitif.
- Moulin de la Roque, Hautes Terres A very good rosé to drink chilled, well structured, at an affordable price, you can go there with your eyes closed. Pair with shellfish or pan-fried sunny vegetables.
So don’t hesitate to enjoy it, but always in moderation! ☀️
