In 1809, Domaine Plein Pagnier was already described as fertile land with abundant vines and fruit trees. But it all began in 1960, when Edouard Flandrin bought the estate and renovated the farmhouse, replanting vines and cherry trees that had disappeared after the two world wars. As a family, the estate will be modernized and developed by future generations.

An estate steeped in history

In 1991, with the creation of the Ecocert label, Domaine Plein Pagnier became the first agricultural estate in the PACA region to turn to organic farming.
Geneviève, great-granddaughter of Edouard Flandrin, was quick to apply biodynamic principles, and was rewarded in 2009 with a gold medal at the Concours des Côtes du Ventoux. This was not its only success, as the same year it was listed in the Gilbert & Gaillard international guide to the best winegrowers. In 2010, Domaine Plein Pagnier obtained Demeter certification, the only label that guarantees biodynamic grapes and wines.
In 2013, Geneviève’s eldest son, Edouard Marchési, will be returning to the domaine after obtaining a master’s degree in international wine business and gaining professional experience in London.

In the years that followed, the family estate flourished, making its own wine and offering new activities to consumers (exhibitions, tastings, concerts, creation of bed and breakfast establishments).

Terre du Mont Ventoux

Located at the foot of Mont Ventoux, on the heights of the commune of Mazan, Domaine Plein Pagnier boasts over 15 hectares of vines, olive and cherry trees. A producer of Muscat de Hambourg table grapes, the estate’s wine is AOC Ventoux, an AOC that has chosen to commit to sustainable development by protecting living organisms and recognizing and preserving the delicate balance of nature.
Recognized by UNESCO as a Biosphere Reserve, Mont Ventoux has witnessed the birth of vine-growing since Gallo-Roman times.

Wines with Mediterranean aromas

Domaine Plein Pagnier sells only red wines, but also a white and a rosé.
Their rosé wine is 80% Grenache noir, a Spanish black grape that adds sweetness, and 20% Syrah, a fine, fruity grape.

Domaine de Plein Pagnier’s white wine is a blend of Clairette (one of the oldest grape varieties in the South, with aromas of apple, lime blossom and apricot), Ugni Blanc (which produces an edgy, fresh, fine wine), Grenache Blanc (low acidity, with sweet, juicy clusters), Roussanne (which is delicate and produces exceptional wines) and Viognier (an ancient grape variety with great perfume).

The estate’s various reds are blended with exclusively Mediterranean grape varieties such as Grenache, Syrah and Carignan, which like Grenache originates from Spain and has delicate aromas of pepper, cherry and violet.

Domaine Plein Pagnier also sells Muscat de Hambourg grape juice, cherry jam and organic olive oil.
