Nestled in Saint Genès de Castillon, Château Manoir du Gravoux is an exceptional wine estate, extending over 24 hectares of vines in a single block. Situated on the magnificent clay-limestone plateau, this property benefits from a rich terroir, in continuity with that of the famous Saint-Émilion limestone plateau.

An Old Medieval Building

Manoir du Gravoux, an ancient medieval building dating back to the 14th century, stands at the top of a valley, on one of the best terroirs in Castillon Côtes de Bordeaux. The vineyard plots are arranged in a hierarchy according to planting year and exposure, to optimize grape quality. Ideal natural conditions, with clay-limestone soil, north-south facing slopes and natural soil drainage, ensure perfectly ripe grapes, harvested according to the rhythm of each plot.

A Deep Respect for Terroir

At Château Manoir du Gravoux, vines are cultivated with a deep respect for the environment and the terroir. When it comes to vinification, the château favors a parcel-by-parcel approach based on terroir, plot exposure, grape variety and vine age. Interventions in the vineyard and cellar are kept to a minimum, allowing the terroir to express itself fully in each bottle.

Exceptional wines

Château Manoir du Gravoux stands out for the diversity of its production. Among its specialties, the white wine, a Vin de France Chardonnay, is inspired by the great wines of Burgundy. The grapes are harvested by hand, then aged in French oak barrels for 9 months. For red wines, three unique cuvées are produced: Château Manoir du Gravoux This red wine is aged exclusively in concrete vats for 12 months, giving it a fruity, supple, gourmet expression. Accessible to all, it is perfect for those seeking a wine for pleasure. Cuvée La Violette Made from old vines grown on the limestone plateau, this wine is 90% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc. Vinified in French oak for 12 months, it reveals complexity, notable power and a silky mouthfeel. Le Secret du Manoir Made from a one-hectare parcel of the oldest Merlot vines, this wine is vinified in whole berries with punching down, favoring gentle, precise extraction. Aged for 12 months in new and single-vineyard French oak barrels, it presents a perfect balance, powerful and gourmet, rivaling without hesitation the greatest Bordeaux wines! Thanks to a respectful approach to nature and meticulous attention to every stage of winemaking, Château Manoir du Gravoux produces wines that captivate the senses and tell the story of their terroir. For wine lovers and the curious, a visit to Château Manoir du Gravoux is a must to discover these wine treasures!
