Trends in 2023
Riesling Grand Cru Sporen, Scheidecker Et Fils
: with one star in the Guide Hachette, this white is a little nugget! “This Riesling produces a pale gold, semi-dry or even sweet wine. Well-opened and flattering, the nose releases greedy aromas of ripe fruit and bergamot, enhanced by peppery touches. The fruit takes on overripe, stewed nuances in a full, round body enlivened by fine acidity”.
Heiress En Blanc, the K Family From the Beaujolais region, this organic white wine is perfect as an aperitif with milky cheeses or goat’s cheese. The fruit is there thanks to the Pinot, the freshness thanks to the Chardonnay. It really invites you to taste it, with a nice tension and a bit of roundness!
Quintessence, Château Laulan This 2018 vintage Côtes de Franc (judged “exceptional” by Le Figaro for red Bordeaux) is rated 90/100 by James Suckling. HVE-certified and vegan, this Bordeaux is an excellent vintage, very pleasant and easy to drink, with good structure. Unbeatable value for money, you won’t be disappointed!
Chablis, Vignoble Angst probably the best discovery in Chablis. Fruity and long on the palate. Beautiful white flower notes, good grip and finish. A fine achievement that deserves to be tasted!
Our tips :
Les Muses Millesime, Champagne Michel Hoerter : HVE-certified, this Brut Champagne has a lovely golden hue. The nose expresses a beautiful maturity with aromas of fruits in syrup, slightly exotic. The palate reveals lovely acid notes subtly combined with a gourmet character of confectionery and white fruit. On the finish, a hint of hazelnut completes this fine balance between freshness and maturity.
Autumn Leaves, Domaine Mosny A favorite of the Twil committee and in conversion to organic farming, this Loire white wine illustrates perfect balance on the palate, supported by fine acidity and excellent length. This 100% chenin blanc cuvée is vinified and aged in barrels. Rich and full-bodied, this dry wine is beautifully tender on the palate. A wine for ageing and gastronomy. Pleasure guaranteed!
L’ibis Blanc, Domaine De Ravanès A Languedoc white wine, this fine cuvée from Domaine de Ravanès is a no-fuss, interesting and atypical wine. Notes of herbs and white fruit, with a lovely minerality. Drink well chilled as an aperitif or with white meat in sauce (rabbit with mustard, veal paupiettes, etc.).
Les Baumes, Moulin De La Roque Extremely pleasant wine, full-bodied yet light on the palate. A pleasantly full-bodied Bandol, very characteristic of the Mediterranean cru. What’s more, it has been awarded two Hachette stars!
Petitou, Domaine Capelanel This wine has rich blackberry flavors, lots of spice and some tannin. It has been crafted in an accessible style, ready to be drunk young to appreciate the fruitiness of Malbec. Drink now. (Wine Enthusiast). Mouth-watering fruit at an affordable price!
Twil is taking advantage of this not-to-be-missed event in the epicurean calendar to put them in the spotlight. So make the most of this opportunity, grab some bargains and, above all, treat yourself! 🍷
