Cannes film festival

The Cannes Film Festival 2023 once again set the Côte d’Azur ablaze with glamour, passion for cinema and a glittering red carpet. The eagerly-awaited event brought together stars from all over the world, talented directors and avid cinephiles. In addition to the screenings, festival-goers enjoyed numerous gala evenings and exclusive events. The menu includes Château de Miraval…

The history of Château Miraval

The château’s origins date back to the 13th century, when the de Villeneuve family, a noble lineage from Provence, built the first structures. Over the years, the estate passed through the hands of various noble and aristocratic families, each making modifications and embellishments.

Château de Miraval fell into decline during the 20th century, but was lovingly restored in the 1970s by an American businessman, Tom Bove. However, it was when the Perrin family, famous in the wine world, acquired the estate in 1993 that the château experienced a true renaissance.

The Perrin family, associated with the famous Château de Beaucastel winery, made Château de Miraval not only a family residence, but also a renowned vineyard. In addition to its winegrowing heritage, the Château is also famous for hosting world-famous personalities. In 2008, American actor Brad Pitt and French actress Angelina Jolie purchased the estate, adding a touch of Hollywood glamour to its already rich history.

Today, Château de Miraval is a landmark of Provence, where history, nature and wine blend harmoniously. Visitors can explore the magnificent gardens, taste the estate’s award-winning wines and even stay in luxurious cottages on the property.
