Located in the heart of the Côte des Bar region, Marcel Deheurles & Fils has been producing and marketing Champagne for several decades.

Marcel Deheurles founded the Champagne house in his name with his wife Annick in 1970. Naturally, their son Benoît took up the torch in 2006 and continues the family tradition. He is currently the estate’s winemaker, manager and sales representative.

The estate manages 7 hectares of vines with respect for nature and the environment, and grows 3 Champagne grape varieties: Pinot Blanc, Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, certified HVE (High Environmental Value).

Vineyard philosophy

Benoit inherited his passion and know-how from his parents, who in turn inherited them from their own parents. He is committed to respecting the terroir he has inherited and, with this in mind, takes a qualitative, reasoned approach to vine-growing.

He constantly monitors the vines and pays close attention to their development, in order to prevent risks and treat them only when necessary.

To make a great wine, you need to know your terroir; Benoît is well aware of this, which is why he takes the time to study and care for his land to bring out the best in it.

Right from the first year of operation, a survey of the land was carried out to gain a complete understanding of the terroir.

Benoit keeps a close eye on his vines to determine the exact starting date of the harvest: he waits for the grapes to reach ideal maturity so he can extract all their aromas.

Work well done, passion and love of the terroir are the watchwords of the domaine.

Marcel Deheurles & Fils Champagnes

4 atypical cuvées

The cuvée Céleste is an atypical Brut Champagne made from 100% Pinot Blanc, a rare grape variety. The clear, brilliant pale yellow color reveals fine, regular bubbles. The nose is complex and highly aromatic. Initial aromas of exotic fruits and white fruits give way to a hint of yellow fruit on notes of acacia honey. On the palate, there is excellent balance, suppleness and elegant freshness.

Champagne Opale & Sens is a Blanc de Blancs brut made from Chardonnay grapes, 90% of which come from cœurs de cuvée. On the nose, there’s a lovely complexity of aromas: the first floral nose combines with notes of white fruit, followed by brioche and pastry aromas. After a lively attack on the palate, the wine reveals intense aromatic freshness and fruity notes combined with the roundness of wood ageing.

One of the Senses is a 100% Pinot Noir brut maceration rosé. A 36-hour maceration gives it a generous structure and intense black fruit aromas.

Ebene & Sens is a single-cell extra-brut Blanc de Noirs made from Pinot Noir grapes. 5 years are assembled in this cuvée SOLERA (2010, 2013, 2014, 2015 and 2016). Only the first juices from the press are selected. Its golden yellow color shows a fine cordon and fine bubbles. The nose is rich, powerful, fresh and complex. Ripe fruit and spice aromas accompany delicate honey notes. A lively attack on the palate, combining finesse and freshness.

The cuvée Prestige is composed of the 3 grape varieties planted in the vineyard. Pinot Noir (40%) combines with Chardonnay (40%) and Pinot Blanc (20%) in this generous, elegant cuvée. The grapes come from the best vines and only the first juices are used. The wine develops roasted, honeyed notes complemented by hints of yellow fruit, peach and almond. On the palate, it’s a harmony of freshness, complexity and length, perfect for a refined aperitif.

4 classic cuvées

Cuvée Natur is the house’s Champagne Brut Nature. For this confidential Champagne, only the first juices of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir are selected and then aged in our cellars for a minimum of 5 years. The nose is complex, fine and floral, with notes of hazelnut and toast. On the palate, the attack is tense with citrus aromas followed by white fruits. This cuvée will be particularly appreciated with sushi, oysters and seafood.

A vintage vintage greedy, powerful blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir After long cellar ageing, the power and fruit of Pinot Noir combined with the finesse of Chardonnay give this cuvée remarkable aromatic intensity. The nose is honeyed and brioche-like, while the palate is velvety and round, with candied fruit and prunes.)

Reserve is a fruity, well-balanced Champagne dominated by Pinot Noir from most of the parcels. It is easy and pleasant to enjoy in any circumstances.

Le Rosé d’assemblage brut represents a fine balance between freshness and evolution.

This cuvée has lovely effervescence, substance and body. The nose reveals notes of red fruit. On the palate, the attack is frank and fresh, with aromas of dried fruit.
