The story

A family of bold, passionate entrepreneurs

In 1976, 4 generations of the Gratiot family had already succeeded one another at the head of the estate. In 1997, Rémy Gratiot (5th in his generation) took over the reins of the estate located in Charly-sur-Marne in Champagne. He is driven by the desire to offer unique, authentic Champagnes that reflect his terroir, region and well-preserved family traditions. His wife Amélie Perrier Gratiot has been working as an ambassador for Maison Gratiot alongside him since 2012, traveling the four corners of the world to present their Champagnes to wine professionals.

The Champagne House was originally called “Champagne Gratiot Gérard”, but Rémy decided to change the name to “Champagne Gratiot & Cie” to better represent the family adventure. Champagne Gratiot & Cie represents 5 generations of entrepreneurs, all under the same roof!

PInot Meunier reigns supreme in the family vineyard

As expert Pinot Meunier growers and winemakers, the Gratiot family has constantly perfected its techniques in both vineyard and cellar, guaranteeing high-quality grapes and champagnes.

Thanks to this investment, Champagne Gratiot & Cie is now equipped with a high-performance winery combining tradition and technology. Throughout the various stages of production, from vineyard to cellar, the team brilliantly conveys the family’s identity and philosophy, combining seriousness, know-how and ingenuity.

The cuvée Désiré Rosé 2014 is a rosé Champagne made from a blend of Chardonnay, Pinot Meunier and Pinot Noir. This rosé de saignée extra brut reveals a gourmet nose of red fruit, refined on the palate by aromas of candied cherries and a fine acidic structure. It’s the perfect aperitif or accompaniment to duck aiguillettes or grilled red mullet.

Le Secret d’Almanach brut 2012 is a Champagne made exclusively from Pinot Meunier grapes, combining freshness and aromatic complexity. Its dosage of Pinot Meunier juice gives the wine notes of fresh fruit, almonds and dried fruit. Its complex aromatic palette and extreme freshness make it the ideal companion for aperitifs featuring cheese appetizers such as gougères.

Cuvée Désiré Gratiot 2012 is a Champagne made from Chardonnay, Pinot Meunier and Pinot Noir grapes. Its creamy, round palate reveals generous aromas of yellow and white fruits, accompanied by lovely notes of cookie, brioche and butter. For even greater delight, pair with fish or scallops.

Cuvée Almanach N°1 Brut is a blend of Pinot Meunier (85%) and Chardonnay. On the nose, this Champagne reveals an elegant aromatic palette of fruity and floral notes. On the palate, this wine is fat and full-bodied, with a lingering finish. A delicate apple tart is the perfect accompaniment to this elegant, fresh champagne.
