An estate committed to sustainable viticulture

Champagne Beaudouin-Latrompette has been located near Reims, in the village of Nogent-L’Abbesse, for 7 generations. Florence and Francis Beaudouin-Latrompette grow mainly Chardonnay on over 6 hectares of vines.
In 2018, they were awarded Viticulture Durable en Champagne certification, which congratulates their approach to environmental protection and sustainable development. To obtain this certification, recognized by the French Ministry of Agriculture, they had to meet the following criteria:
– Sustainable water and waste management
– Preserving biodiversity and promoting the terroir
– A phytosanitary plan proposing alternatives to insecticides that are harmful to the environment.
– Reasoned fertilization to balance fertilizer inputs.

A world-famous terroir

Florence and Francis Beaudouin-Latrompette take particular care with their grapes, which are hand-picked when ripe.
Grown on sun-drenched hillsides, the vines draw their resources from the chalky soil of Champagne. Made up of calcite granules, chalk is a veritable water reserve for vines, which can draw on it even in the driest summers.
Champagne Beaudouin-Latrompette is located on the largest terroir in Champagne, the Montagne de Reims.
Dating back 70 million years, it is composed of layers of chalk, sand, clay and limestone. The Montagne de Reims Regional Nature Park covers an area of 533 km² and encompasses 65 communes.
Listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2015, the “Coteaux, Maisons et Caves de Champagne” sites share their work in the production, manufacture and exploitation of Champagne wine.

Some champagnes produced by Domaine Beaudouin-Latrompette

Florence and Francis Beaudouin-Latrompette use their expertise to offer a range of champagnes.

The Blanc de Blancs Brut, with its pale gold color, is a Chardonnay with fine effervescence and floral notes. On the palate, it offers good length and reveals aromas of white flowers and spices. Ideal as an aperitif or with seafood.

Blanc de Blancs Extra-Brut and Blanc de Blancs Demi-sec have the same color as the Brut. White fruit aromas make these champagnes ideal for accompanying exotic dishes and desserts.

The Blanc de Noir, with its dazzling color, offers consumers notes of ripeness and freshness, blending praline, violet and yellow fruit flavors. Ideal with meats in sauce.

The 2012 vintage, aged on its lees for 4 years, has a golden yellow color and floral and fruity aromas. A delicious fullness emerges on the palate, making this champagne an outstanding vintage to be favored for splendid dinners.

Or du Temps is a veritable treasure trove of the estate’s production. With its exquisite freshness, vanilla notes and subtle aromas, it is ideal for special occasions.
