These nuggets are still too discreet…

We often think of Beaujolais for its reds, its supple, fruity Gamays. But it would be a shame to miss out on its white nuggets. Yes, Beaujolais also produces white wines, some of which rival those of its great Mâconnais neighbors!

Did you know? White Beaujolais only accounts for 2% of the vineyard’s production, but it deserves your full attention!

The King grape variety

In Beaujolais, the king of white wines is Chardonnay! Planted on the clay-limestone soils of the southern part of the region, it produces luminous wines with aromas of white flowers, citrus and sometimes exotic fruits. On the palate, the wine is beautifully fresh, often with a seductive mineral touch.

When the temperature rises, all we want to do is open a chilled white wine. What if this summer, you were to opt for a nice surprise?

Terroirs to rediscover

The Beaujolais and Beaujolais-Villages appellations authorize the production of white wines, but certain crus are also beginning to make their mark. Winegrowers are experimenting, refining their know-how, and this is reflected in the quality of their cuvées. There are wines for immediate pleasure, perfect for the aperitif, but also more complex whites that benefit from a few years’ cellaring!

At the table, it’s a real surprise

Beaujolais whites are wonderful table companions. With seafood, poultry in cream sauce, or even mature goat’s cheese, they reveal all their finesse. Their balance between liveliness and roundness makes them precious allies for fresh, gourmet cuisine.

What if this was the perfect time to (re)discover these charming wines?

Beaujolais whites are waiting to brighten your aperitifs, enhance your summer meals and surprise you with their freshness and elegance.
