The TWIL team has its own special favorites. We’ve decided to share them with you today with a selection of 5 top-rated wines under 50 euros.

We love them!

Our favorites

  • Cuvée Prestige – Extra Brut Millésimé, Champagne Th. Small : “Right from the nose, you can sense the power of the Ambonnay grapes and the vintage: deep fruit, with hints of raisins and ripe yellow peach. On the palate, the wine is powerful, fruity and racy at the same time, but the dosage could be further reduced. Open with a creamed veal chop with a few mushrooms.” Gault & Millau gives this champagne a score of 15/20. The Guide Hachette des Vins awards it 3 stars! All in all, this is a champagne with body and heart!

  • La Sergue, Vignobles Chatonnet A drop of Malbec (3%) accompanies Merlot (72%) and Cabernet Franc in this beautifully complex wine, which opens after aeration with red (raspberry, strawberry) and black (blackcurrant) fruit and well-balanced oak. A supple, fresh attack preludes a full, well-fruited palate, supported by tannins extracted with moderation. A fine, fresh Lalande. With a Hachette star, this value-for-money wine will go perfectly with tournedos rossini and cauliflower mousseline.

  • Le Piton De Sancerre : A white Sancerre worthy of the greatest, with an aromatic nose inviting you to taste. On the palate, the attack is frank and the wine has an almost perfect balance between freshness and roundness. The finish is slightly smoky and calls for another sip. James Suckling rates this wine 91/100. is to say! It’s a quality wine at an affordable price. In conversion to organic farming and one of the team’s favourites!

  • Excelsus Rouge, Château De Figuières A very southern accent with a certain freshness that brings balance. The tannins are fine and well integrated. The technique, precision and depth in this wine are indisputable. The crystalline nose has aromas of cherry, wild strawberry and raspberry. The palate is round, fine and consistent with the nose. The flavors are peppery with evolution and the tannins are fine and well integrated. A fine bottle to enjoy with chocolate fondant.

  • Rully, Maison L.Tramier Et Fils : this cuvée offers a frank, gourmet wine. On tasting, the aromatic palette is lively and crisp, with notes of white-fleshed fruit, floral notes and a fresh mineral nuance. It goes well with seafood and ashy goat’s cheese. A well-balanced wine with a long finish. This wine is excellent value for money!

We hope our selection will give you some ideas for your next purchases!
