The recipe may vary, as may the dosage of cr\u00e8me de cassis and wine.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Today, the recipe has been diversified, and Bourgogne aligot\u00e9 can be replaced by other dry white wines. Indeed, cr\u00e8me de cassis is a sweet, syrupy spirit that needs to be nuanced in a cocktail. The acidity and liveliness of a dry white break up this sweetness. Muscadet or Savoy wines such as Apremont and Roussette come to mind.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>The royal kir<\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A kir royal follows the same recipe as the classic kir, except that Bourgogne aligot\u00e9 is replaced by Cr\u00e9mant d&#8217;Alsace.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">There&#8217;s even the kir imp\u00e9rial, made with cr\u00e8me de cassis and champagne.  <\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>Variations on kir<\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">There are also a multitude of variations on the &#8220;classic&#8221; kir recipes.  <\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ros\u00e9 can be used instead of a dry white to make a Medoc kir.
