Passionate about French gastronomy, he defines the style and soul of Taittinger champagnes. It was François Taittinger, Pierre’s third son, who laid the foundations of the group we know today.

Successively run by Pierre Taittinger’s sons François and Claude, the House remains in the Taittinger family today, after Pierre-Emmanuel Taittinger (Pierre’s grandson) bought it from the American investment fund Starwood Capital Group. In January 2020, Vitalie Taittinger, Pierre-Emmanuel’s daughter, became President of the House, while her brother Clovis holds the position of Export Director. A story of family and sharing…

A legacy of excellence

With 288 hectares of vineyards throughout the Champagne region, Maison Taittinger uses the 3 great Champagne grape varieties to create its blends. The vineyards, spread over 37 crus throughout the appellation, yield Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Pinot Meunier of exceptional quality.

Having been awarded the European High Environmental Value and Sustainable Viticulture in Champagne labels in 2017, Champagne Taittinger is committed to a sustainable viticulture approach. The company has already grassed 90% of its plots, thus becoming a pioneer, and uses ploughing to reduce the use of herbicides.

Proud of its commitments, the House is committed to a perpetual quest for excellence, from the earth to the flute.

Unique Champagnes

According to Cellar Master Alexandre Ponnavoy, Taittinger Champagnes “resemble no other, but resemble themselves”. This quest for excellence, driven by a true spirit of independence, enables the creation of unique Champagnes, combining tradition and modernity.

After the work in the vineyard, the production of Taittinger Champagnes always meets the same high standards of quality. The Tasting Committee has the onerous task of determining the blends for each cuvée, always with the same philosophy in mind: “to retain only the best, to seek that unique taste”. The best also requires time and patience, to allow the sought-after aromas to reveal themselves. Champagne Taittinger has opted for aging periods of 4 to 10 years, much longer than the minimum required by the appellation.

Maison Taittinger offers a wide and varied range of Champagnes, with different blends, aging times and dosages. The cuvée Brut Réserve, a non-vintage brut with a majority of Chardonnay, is light and well-balanced. Unique cuvées are also produced, such as Folies de la Marquetterie, a tribute to the famous Château, and Nocturne and Nocturne Rosé, dry, round and smooth champagnes.

It’s impossible to talk about Champagne Taittinger without mentioning the cuvée Comtes de Champagne, in honor of Thibaud IV. Blanc de Blancs millésimé, aged for 10 years in the Saint Nicaise chalk quarries and made from Chardonnay from 5 grands crus, this Champagne is a perfect reflection of the House’s style and exacting standards.

[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space]
#Champagne#Chardonnay#Domain#Pinot Meunier#Pinot-Noir
[vc_empty_space]Array[vc_empty_space][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/3″ disable_custom_paddings_tablet=”true” disable_custom_paddings_mobile=”true” css=”.vc_custom_1587718696889{padding-right: 0px !important;padding-left: 80px !important;}”][vc_empty_space]

[vc_empty_space][vc_empty_space][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”2/3″][vc_empty_space]

10 € offerts sur votre première commande !
Achetez vos vins en vente privée sur Twil.
