A grand cru will be more balanced, more distinguished and more likely to evolve over time. Ageing potential varies according to its classification.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It should also be noted that tannic wines tend to reveal their full potential with several years of cellaring. Whites from the Rh\u00f4ne Valley and Languedoc made from Viognier are best enjoyed young, rather than after a few years&#8217; cellaring.  <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Sauvignon blanc can be enjoyed young to appreciate quince, apple and citrus aromas. A smooth, rounded wine.  <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Provence and Corsica whites made from Rolle (Vermentino) should be drunk within 2-3 years.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2>Ros\u00e9 wines<\/h2>\n<h2 class=\"title-h2\"><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Year-round ros\u00e9s are often pale pink in color. These are generally wines produced by direct pressing.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ros\u00e9s de saign\u00e9e can generally be enjoyed within 2-3 years. The most tannic ros\u00e9s, made from grape varieties such as Mourv\u00e8dre, Syrah or Cabernet Franc, are best aged for 2-3 years.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">There are also ros\u00e9 wines for laying down: these are wines that have been macerated for a long time and aged in wood. This is the case for certain ros\u00e9s from Bandol, C\u00f4tes de Provence or Coteaux d&#8217;Aix-en-Provence.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2>The exception that proves the rule<\/h2>\n<h2 class=\"title-h2\"><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">All this remains general, and there are of course exceptions to the rule.
