In this unique terroir, located at the foot of the Andes mountain range, Malbec and Cabernet Sauvignon vines are grown under natural, environmentally-friendly conditions.<\/span>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=&#8221;2\/3&#8243;][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<h4>History and identity<\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Founded in 1999 in one of the most renowned regions of Luj\u00e1n de Cuyo, north of Mendoza, Cheval des Andes extends over an exceptional vineyard where two grape varieties are planted: Malbec from vines that are sometimes octogenarian, and Cabernet Sauvignon. This rich terroir, cultivated at the foot of the Andes mountain range, produces a Grand Cru des Andes that combines freshness, elegance and the promise of excellent ageing potential.  <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The &#8220;vintage effect&#8221; reveals the remarkable character of this wine every year.  <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Twenty years of daily care and meticulous attention to detail in these unique vineyards, in collaboration with the Ch\u00e2teau Cheval Blanc teams, have resulted in the production of a true &#8220;grand cru&#8221; from the Andes. <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.twil.fr\/argentine\/mendoza\/mendoza\/cheval-des-andes-wine-41780.html#298968\"><br \/>\n  <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">a true &#8220;grand cru&#8221; of the Andes<\/span><br \/>\n<\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span>[\/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<h4>The Andes horse estate<\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">50 hectares of vineyards are dedicated to the production of this prestigious wine. Vineyards here differ in altitude, topography and soil composition.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In 2000, Cheval des Andes launched a biodiversity project on the estate, planting flowers and other plants that attract birds and bees, the natural predators of vineyard pests.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The team has two organic vegetable gardens and a livestock farm with sheep, horses, cows, llamas and alpacas. They grow fruit, herbs and olives, which are processed into oil. Sheep are shorn to make warm clothing for the vineyard workers. All animals provide natural fertilizer for the garden.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Today, Cheval des Andes lives not only from viticulture and winemaking, but also from the desire to share its love and appreciation of the land with visitors.<\/span>[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<h4>Grands Crus<\/h4>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.twil.fr\/argentine\/mendoza\/mendoza\/cheval-des-andes-wine-41780.html#298967\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Vintage 2014 :  <\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">whispered and poetic, Malbec reveals itself with autumnal aromas of resin and pine that slowly mingle with fresh berries and floral notes of violet and rose. Round and voluptuous in character, the palate is creamy on entry, with a vibrant, balanced and fresh evolution. This wine reveals a structured, precise finish with tannins that leave a velvety, persistent sensation. Parker gives it a score of 97\/100.  <\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.twil.fr\/argentine\/mendoza\/mendoza\/cheval-des-andes-wine-41780.html#298968\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Vintage 2019 :<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">  all the critics love him. In fact, the scores awarded are all above 96\/100. Complex, the nose blends fruity (red fruits, cherries, redcurrants, plums) and floral (violet, lavender) fragrances with savory notes of vanilla, cedar and licorice from barrel ageing.
