Today, the vineyard covers 30 hectares of the prestigious Lalande de Pomerol, Saint-Emilion and Montagne-Saint-Emiion appellations. This winegrowing adventure is above all a family affair, with Jeanine and André Chatonnet joined by their son Pascal, a trained oenologist, to continue the development of the family estates.

For almost 40 years, Vignobles Chatonnet underwent constant improvements: drainage, replanting, selection of oak barrels, choice of cork for corks, bottling techniques at the château, maintenance of an ideal natural temperature .

The quality and renown of their wines led to the expansion of the production area and the ambitious construction of a building entirely dedicated to wine and its promotion: Château Haut-Chaigneau.

With an annual production of around 150,000 bottles, Vignobles Chatonnet is one of the leading estates in the Lalande de Pomerol appellation. Their wines are distributed in France and abroad.

[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_column_text]

Some Vignobles Chatonnet vintages in Twil’s Christmas selection

Château Haut-Chaigneau 2016: Rated 91/100 by James Suckling, this cuvée is a blend of Merlot Noir and Cabernet Franc.
